PCA9685 16 Channel 12 bit PWM Servo Driver I2C Interface

Specifications:

• Adjustable frequency PWM up to about 1.6 KHz
• 12-bit resolution for each output – for servos, that means about 4us resolution at a 60Hz update rate
• Configurable push-pull or open-drain output
• The output enable pin enables you to disable all the outputs quickly

Usage Tips:

• When using servos, always power them from a separate 5V supply (not the microcontroller).
• Add a 1000 μF capacitor across the servo power terminals to prevent brownouts.
• Use Adafruit’s PCA9685 library for quick setup with Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
